The purpose of this privacy policy is to ensure that the collection, use, maintenance, sharing and dissemination of LPR information is consistent with respect for individuals’ privacy and civil liberties and to comply with the provisions of California Civil Code Section 1798.90.51 et seq. This policy is available to members of the public, in writing upon request to AirGarage.
At some AirGarage Locations, vehicle inventories are conducted using automated license plate recognition technology. This data may be used for all or any of the following purposes:
All access to, and retention of, LPR data shall be managed by the Chief Technology Officer or his designee.
The sale and unauthorized dissemination of customer license plate information is strictly prohibited by company policy. Violations will include disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. The process for sharing or transfer of LPR information shall, at a minimum, include:
The Chief Technology Officer or his designee is responsible for ensuring all locations are operating the LPR system within the parameters of the law.
License plate information collected using the LPR system will remain on file for a period of 30 days, it may be automatically purged from the LPR system upon the expiration of this period. Photos without a visible license plate in frame will be deleted by the system within 30 days.
Parking Facilities may set specific LPR retention policies upon written request, for example to request an expedited deletion or modified retention period.
LPR system audits shall be conducted on a regular basis.
