AirGarage works with churches, small businesses, hotels and other parking lot and garage owners to manage their parking lots. We collect payments for hourly, daily, and monthly parking from drivers that want public parking to get to work, school, or a local restaurant.We also help the churches and businesses input their customers and visitors into our system for free parking.
What you’ll do is easy: use your phone and our Space Force app to scan license plates.Our system will tell you who is a violator and who is paying to park.
The first time you find a violator, the app will ask you to leave a parking ticket.After you scan the license plate, you will see a message in the app that says "Leave a ticket, tap for instructions."Tap on that photo of the license plate to continue.The camera will open again. Leave a parking ticket under the driver's windshield wiper and take a photo to prove you did.The photo is how we know to pay you and also how we prove that the driver was warned.Don't hand write your own tickets, we will provide you with pre-printed parking tickets to use.Make sure you fill in all the fields on the ticket before you leave them, such as License Plate, Date, Time, and Make / Model of the vehicle. This helps us track the tickets and helps drivers that receive a ticket who should not have.
If you confirm that you would like to continue consistently scanning with us, we will send you pre-printed parking tickets and a safety vest. Please reach out to (213) 319-4672 with your mailing address and we can send them your way.
The app will let you know the correct course of action. If there is already a ticket on a car, please do not add another. Only replace a ticket if it is damaged or weathered. If you notice a car that is a repeat violator, or that looks abandoned, please contact us immediately.
The pay is per license plate scanned and parking ticket left.The base rate starts at $0.15 for every car that you scan and $0.50 for each ticket that you leave on an illegally parked car. More often than not, there are multipliers in effect that 3x or 4x these rates. These rates are subject to change at any time. You can always see the current payment rate for a given lot on the Space Force App. If you scan at least 12 days in a given month, you are eligible for a monthly bonus of $2.00 for each ticket you issued that gets paid.
Your earnings will get sent to you at the end of every day at 2 PM Pacific Time / 5 PM Eastern Time.Once your earnings get sent out, they will be transferred to your bank account via Direct Deposit. Just like a regular paycheck, the Direct Deposit can take up to 5 business days to arrive in your bank account after we send it.
An auto-start occurs when you scan a car that is associated with a driver's AirGarage account, but does not have an active parking session. Once auto-started, we begin the driver's parking session and automatically charge them the daily maximum rate.
In the Space Force app, go to the menu and then to Payouts.There will be a button that says Connect Bank Account.Click that then go through the setup flow to create a Stripe account. It will ask for either your bank info or a debit card.If you set up using a Debit card instead of a bank, we can usually pay you out your earnings faster.Please text us if you have any issues setting up your Stripe account, we want to make sure you get paid!If you don't see the option to connect your bank account in the app, text us and let us know.You can always manage your payment information by logging in at dashboard.stripe.com
In any situation, your first goal should always be to diffuse the situation. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of violence, aggression, or situation escalation.Make sure the person is calm and does not see you as a threat.Do not confront them verbally or physically. Use your judgement to best determine when to walk away. We would rather let a violator or two get away than have you put yourself in any danger at any time. If you ever feel that your safety is in jeopardy, please call 911 immediately. If anybody asks why you are scanning plates, just calmly explain that you are an enforcement contractor and that you work with AirGarage to help make sure everybody in the parking lot is paid.If anybody asks you questions about their parking rental or says they have an issue with the parking, please let them know that you are an independent contractor and that they should contact us online at contact@airgarage.com
